Music class is a vibrant aspect of SAM's curriculum and incorporates choral skills, rhythm, instruments, theory, choreography, dramatic arts, and more. Students sing, dance, and pray together.

STEM is an umbrella term used to group together the distinct but related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM at St. Angela Merici Parish School encourages students to problem solve, get creative, and work collaboratively. Our dedicated STEM teacher and state-of-the-art lab create the perfect environment for out-of-the-box thinking.

Students will develop vocabulary and basic grammar skills based on contexts related to daily living, such as daily routines, greetings, farewells, descriptions, food, clothes, autobiographical information, numbers, colors, dates, time, and weather. Students will read short stories appropriate to their grade and language level. They will become more aware and gain knowledge of the culturally diverse Spanish-speaking world to develop insight into the nature of language and culture. The class will consist of songs, games, stories, and worksheets.
Students learn Spanish vocabulary and grammar, including articles, pronouns, conjugations, adjectives, adverbs, etc. They will practice reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish. Students will also learn about culture. Students will have weekly homework, regular tests, and term projects.
PE at SAM aims to develop physical literacy and a love for fitness through the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and confidence. Students engage in a variety of activities to build skills and fitness. Our campus facilties include a full-size sports field and large blacktop area to allow for a variety of activities and sports training.

Art Masters is an exciting Fine Arts program where students learn about Master Artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet, just to name a few; then create an art project using a technique or medium of that artist.
SAM's library inspires students to grow in their love of reading. Our library contains a wide selection of picture books, early readers, chapter books, poetry, biographies, religious texts, and more. Students visit the library weekly and can check out books within their reading level range. Younger students enjoy a read-aloud before searching for their book while older students find a comfortable spot to dive into their next great read.
The goal of Friendzy is to proactively teach students God's design for friendship. This social-emotional curriculum is rooted in Scripture and equips students with the skills necessary to build healthy relationships, manage stress, improve focus and academic performance, and reduce disruptive behavior.
