Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. — Hebrews 13:17

style=”font-size: 12pt;”>A SAM Student’s Faith Journey Response:
Nobody is perfect; we all make choices that can lead us away from God’s path. However, there are ways that I can take responsibility for my actions and their consequences. I could admit my sins and ask for God’s forgiveness in Reconciliation. I could openly tell the people affected by my choice that I did something wrong and apologize to them. I could also accept the consequences and take time to reflect on what I did, think of ways how I can be moral and pray to the Holy Spirit to help me make holy choices. Everyone strays away from God”s path sometimes, but I can take responsibility for my actions and their consequences.
I invite your Holy Spirit to dwell in ________today. You are Lord over heaven and earth, and I proclaim that You are Lord over ________. Flood him/her with your light and life. Crowd out any darkness which seeks to impose itself on _________ and let no fear, depression, anger, doubt, anxiety, rebelliousness or hatred find any place in him/her. Fill _________ with your love, peace, and joy. In the name of Jesus. AMEN.
