Fellow St Angela Dads,

My name is Brian Prieto and I am an 8th grade dad and this is my last year with a child at the school and I wanted to reach out to the St. Angela dads.

I have been given the opportunity to represent the St. Angela Merici Parish for a Men’s Retreat on February 28-March 2 being held at the Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre. I attended last year with 2 other St. Angela dads, Gil Rivera and Steve Perez, under the St. Denis Parish of Diamond Bar.

The experience was incredible for all the men who attended. The Lord has called me out to help organize this for our Parish and I have committed in bringing men from our parish and we have about 7 committed so far.

This retreat only happens once a year and this is a weekend
where you just reconnect with our Lord. The Retreat facility is beautiful and is located in the foothills on 80 acres in Sierra Madre and you are fed 5 good meals and you get your own private room and bathroom.

You never are required to share in any discussions and most of the weekend you are actually encouraged to be quiet and rather listen and enjoy some private reflection time.

The retreat promises to be a rich weekend experience!

The suggested donation is $215 for two nights and 5 meals. No one is turned away because of financial inability to make the recommended donation.

Here’s a website link that someone created that has photos of the grounds there—pretty serene. I also attached some photos that was taken
last year.

I am calling out to the dads of St. Angela for the Lord is inviting you to a weekend with him and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I just need an IN or OUT from you within the next couple of days for I can get a head count for the retreat center because there will be 9 other parishes present that weekend and room is limited. No need for any Cash to transpire at this point just a simple Yes that you are interested will do.

I look forward in hearing from you. I can be reached at or cell at 714 493-3594.

Brian Prieto
