Welcome Back SAM Families!!

I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2013-2014 school year!  Summer has come and gone and now its time to continue with the excellent traditions at St. Angela School as well as introduce exciting new programs, families and personnel.  Over the summer break the school has been cleaned, new blacktop will be finished by Wednesday, August 21st, fresh paint in the classrooms, new lights in the park, updated landscape, purchase of teacher ipads, Apple TVs in every classroom, teacher training in curriculum mapping, common core standards and AR program.  Our dedicated staff has been working hard to ensure a successful start of school on Monday, August 26th, 2013.

We will continue this school year to strive towards excellence.  I believe that strong community school relationships are essential to high academic achievement.  We will remain successful because we have parents and community members that are involved and supportive of this school.  Your support is greatly appreciated and I look forward in seeing everyone’s smiles the first day of school.

God Bless and Go Cougars!!

Mrs. Kelly Farrell- 5th Grade Teacher

I am pleased to welcome your 5th grade child as a student in my classroom at Saint Angela Merici Parish School. Fifth grade is an important time of learning in life, and I am proud to have the opportunity to contribute to your student’s education. I look forward to helping your child grow in their knowledge and skills in all subject areas. Since I will be spending each day with your child, I would like to take this opportunity to share a few things about myself both personally and professionally. I received my Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and my teaching credential and Master’s degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. I began my career teaching middle school Mathematics and Religion at Saint Angela Merici in 2004. I then moved into elementary education and taught 3rd and 4th grade in Las Vegas, Nevada. My family returned to Orange County in 2010 and I was given the opportunity to teach
middle school Mathematics at Saint Joseph School. I was thrilled when the opportunity was presented to return to SAM and teach 5th grade!

My husband and I were born and raised in Yorba Linda. We have been married for nine years and have two children (2 years and 6 years). We love spending time outdoors. Education is a partnership between you, your child, and me. I am always interested in learning more about my students – especially anything that will help me meet their academic needs and assist in their intellectual development. Please feel free to contact me anytime during the year with any information you think would help benefit your child. You may contact me at .
