Here are a few other things that have been happening in and around the school recently:
Accelerated Reader Program: Mrs. Telles and Mr.LoPorto have been working to install the program in each of the classrooms. Training will begin for the teachers after the first of the year. Each class will be notified when the students will start using this wonderful reading tool.Quizdom: Training has begun for the teachers with a new student response system. This program was purchased through our Box Top program. 6th Grade was already able to try it out!
ITBS Information Meeting
All parents who are interested in finding out more about our standardized test may come to an information meeting on Monday, December 10th in the Science Lab. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm
School Raffle Tickets-Due Feb 1st. Mandatory
Do NOT forget to pick up your raffle tickets in the front office. The money and tickets are due February 1st!! This is a mandatory fundraiser for the school. Each family is required to sell 2 tickets.
Please consider sharing your talents with SummerFest 2013! Planning has already begun for one of our most beloved traditions, and we welcome those interested in playing a role on the planning committee in the following areas: games (including individual game booth chairs), event lay-out and design, chicken bowl booth (co-chair), or any category in which you may have an interest or expertise. For both new and continuing families, this is a great way to connect further with the SAM community and contribute new ideas for the event. “It’s What We Do”
Eucharist- Friday, Dec 7th 1:15
Join our 5th Grade class as they have been preparing to celebrate the Immaculate Conception during our Eucharist. Formal Attire is required for all students.
We are asking every student to bring an unwrapped toy or gift for our charity of the month. You may drop off this gift with your homeroom teacher or the front office by December 14th. Thank you!!!
Christmas Production- Tuesday, December 18th at 6:00
St Angela Merici Parish School is proud to present the ” A Christmas Carol” as a production for the parents. This play is to allow our students to have the experience of theater arts and to share their talents with their peers and families. The songs will include fun songs “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” to “The First Noel”. This will be presented on Tuesday, December 18th at 6:00 pm in the church. All students are involved with the
production, but as always, is optional for the children. Please read the article on Sycamore for the required “Costumes”
