  JUNE 14 SLE of the Week: 5.2 A quality producer who uses organizational skills and manages time effectively.         Introducing Principal Julianna Tapia We are excited to announce the newest addition to our school community: Julianna Tapia, Principal of St. Angela Merici Parish School.   Mrs. Julianna Tapia has been with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange for ten years. She began her career teaching 1st Grade in a public school and moved to the Diocese of Orange in 2008. She has taught Kindergarten and 5th Grade, while serving as Athletic Director for two years at St. Juliana Falconieri. In addition, she was the Sunday School Ministry Leader for nine years. This past year, she was given the opportunity to be the Vice Principal at Christ Cathedral Academy, as she worked toward her ultimate goal of becoming a Catholic School Principal and assumed many of the duties of Principal.    Mrs. Tapia earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton. She earned her first Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and her second in Educational Administration. She is committed to making a difference in the life of each child and supporting the school and parish families. Mrs. Tapia looks forward to inspiring…

  MAY 10 SLE of the Week: 4.1 A responsible citizen who exhibits respect, integrity and empathy.         Spring Concert   The annual Spring Concert will be held in the Parish Hall on Friday, May 25th at 1:00 PM. The Concert will begin with our new instrumental music program showcasing their talents. The entire school will be sharing songs, dances and music videos with you!   Students may wear any appropriate clothing that is black and white. This includes shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, sport or bermuda shorts, socks and jeans.       Service Hours Opportunity   The Brea Rotary Club is sponsoring a hands on service project this Saturday and students of all ages are invited to participate. Volunteers will be packing food to ship overseas with Rise Against Hunger on Saturday, May 12th, at the Brea Junior High from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM. To all St. Angela Families,     Summerfest LipSync- Practices may begin at School- The Week of May 7th   Summerfest is around the corner and students are excited to participate in this year’s lip syncs!!  We are strongly suggesting all classes to get together as all boys, all girls, or both to do a class lip sync.  This will continue to build on the unity of the class and the parents.  This is optional for the students, however, an invite is there for every child.
