2019-20 Staff Changes

“Change is an irresistible force that moves you to places you never thought that you would go.”   Dear Staff,   Spring is a time of change and new beginnings and with change comes a spirit of growth and possibility. It is always difficult to say goodbye to those we have partnered with as they move on to a new chapter in their lives. But we do so in knowing that God guides us on a path that is uniquely planned for each of us. With that in mind, I would like to let you know of the changes in staff for next year.   Mr. LoPorto will not be returning. We thank him for his many years of teaching, coaching, and supporting the technology at SAM. Our Broadcast and school technology would not be where it is today without him. We wish him the very best. We are currently accepting applications and scheduling interviews for a technology teacher.   Mrs. Ryan also will not be returning. As our Learning Support Resource Specialist, classroom aide and spanish teacher in past years she has made an impact on SAM that will last a lifetime. We thank her for working with our students…

He is the sole bread winner for the family. He recently underwent a serious surgery called the Whipple Procedure. The doctors discovered cancer in his pancreas shortly after surgery. Francis needs at least two months of recovery for this surgery. Following his recovery he will begin chemotherapy.   The family is in need of assistance for medical, tuition and household expenses for at least the recovery period. Hopefully, Francis will be able to return to work while undergoing chemo. The family is reluctant to ask for assistance but is humbled by those who have reached out to them during this very difficult time. Any assistance is a blessing and will be appreciated.
