We are pleased to announce St. Angela Merici Parish School is hosting our first annual Jog-A-Thon on March 27th! The money raised at this fundraiser will support the plethora of special opportunities we provide for our students on a daily basis in the arts, sciences, and physical education departments. Students will earn the following prizes for pledges:

  • $40 – Practice/Prep Pass
  • $60 – Practice/Prep Pass, Free Dress Pass, Rita’s Shaved Ice certificate
  • $150 – Pizza lunch with your teacher on April 11th, Free Dress Pass, Rita’s Shaved Ice certificate, Practice/Prep Pass

Easter Sunday Eucharist

School Participation is needed for the Easter Sunday Eucharist in the Church at 9:30 AM. Sign up HERE to be part of the choir, bring up the gifts, sign up for a reading, or be an usher. Please arrive by 9:00 AM, Easter Sunday, April 21st dressed in Easter Sunday attire (no uniforms). Participation is greatly appreciated. “This is the day the Lord has made; let us REJOICE and be glad in it.”

2019-2020 School Year Registration

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is now open in Sycamore. The first $450 registration fee payment will be due March 15th and the second payment(s) will be due April 1st.


Do not send your child to school with your registration payment; parents are required to turn it in to the Front Office. 


Track Interest Meeting


A track meeting will be held by Mrs. Melissa Williams on Monday, March 18th at 3:00 PM in the 5th grade classroom. If you are still interested in signing up, you may do so at the meeting. The first track practice will be held on Thursday, March 21st.


Middle School Honor Roll Breakfast

The Middle School Honor Roll Breakfast has been moved from March 13th to Wednesday, March 27th. Invitations for students who made Honor Roll will be sent out next week. 


Cookie Cutters Haircuts Fundraiser

Please join us at Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Fullerton at the corner of Brea and Bastanchury for a fundraiser April 1st-4th. Make an appointment any time April 1st-4th and Cookie Cutters will donate $5 from each full price haircut plus 20% of all retail sales to SAM! Please present the flyer at the time of the appointment. You can schedule by calling the salon directly at 657-286-5565, downloading the free Cookie Cutters App, or through Facebook or Google. 


March Family Mass

Our next Family Mass will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 5:00 PM. 2nd and 8th grades are hosting and are encouraged to sign up HERE. All students who attend in formal uniform may wear free dress on Monday, April 1st (please see the School Handbook for free dress guidelines).


Recycling Drive

To help celebrate Earth Day and raise money for SAM, we are doing a Recycling Day on April 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 AM! We will have two companies assisting us with Recycling Day, Savers and AES Electronics Recycling.


Savers will be accepting items such as clothing, shoes, textiles and accessories. They will not accept items such as mattresses, baby gear, appliances, large furniture, auto parts, building materials, cleaning products, tires and flammable material. All items must be in good, clean and sellable condition.


AES Electronics Recycling accepts electronics such as computer parts, circuit boards, cell phones, computer monitors, computers/CPUs/laptops, DVD players, cameras and more. You can view the full list of items that AES accepts on the flyer on the right hand side.


Items that AES and Savers will not accept are refrigerators, tires, appliances, auto parts, building materials, household batteries, copy machines, light bulbs, paint or chemicals

Financial Aid Announcement

Financial aid applications are currently being accepted for the 2019-2020 school year through the FACTs Grant and Aid application process. Applications and all required documents must be uploaded, verified and received by FACTs by May 1st, 2019


Financial aid applications submitted without all required documents by the May 1st, 2019 deadline WILL NOT be considered for financial aid. In order to give families enough time to make enrollment decisions for the 2019-2020 school year, based on financial aid rewards, these dates will not be extended. Plan accordingly and apply as soon as possible.
