Morning Drop-Off Safety Reminders

We ask that you abide by the following rules regarding morning drop-off procedure to ensure the safety of our students and keep the car line moving as efficiently as possible:

  • Enter the parking lot by the Walnut Street entrance and stop to unload passengers as directed by the supervisors. Turn left and exit on Fir Street after drop off.
  • Do not stop on Walnut Street to drop your child off. This stops the flow of traffic and is not safe, as traffic is very busy during this time. Parents who wish to walk their children up to the classroom may park in the Fir Street parking lot.
  • Do not text and drive.
Save the Date!

Save the date for Burger Parlor Dining for Dollars next week, November 13th and 14th! We have half days for conferences on both of those days, so why not head there at noon for lunch or stop in for a delicious dinner! Please invite your friends, family and neighbors to join in the fun as well. More information to come.

Used Uniform Sale Reminder

Don’t forget there will be a Used Uniform Sale tomorrow, Friday, November 8th, after school. Stop by for discounted uniform items of many sizes and types!

November Charity of the Month

The following is a message from our November Charity of the Month, OC United’s Affordable Christmas Store:

Christmas should be a day filled with joy, security, and celebration! For some, Christmas can be painful, lonely, and triggering. This is a reality for many reasons, one being that Christmas gifts are expensive and, for some individuals and/or families, one’s lack of ability to provide gifts for those they love causes shame and the lying whispers of their worthlessness intensifies. One way to prevent this from happening is to provide an “Affordable Christmas Store”. We are collecting *new* gifts and selling them at a price that doesn’t cause anxiety but rather pride and dignity in actually allowing them to be able to buy something meaningful for someone they love. 100% of the proceeds will go back to our programs that are supporting the participants of this event. We invite you to help us make this happen! Our store will be open Saturday, December 15th, from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and will be available to all individuals within OC United’s initiatives: aged-out foster youth, fostering families, individuals who are homeless, domestic violence victims, and families from at-risk neighborhoods. With your help, we can provide Christmas for 300 individuals! We are looking for gifts that are brand new, un-used, and $15+. Please bring 1 gift that is for someone your own age! Please drop off gifts to your school’s front office or classroom. If you have any questions, please email me at gro.d1542163209etinu1542163209co@dy1542163209esdni1542163209l1542163209" >gro.d1542163209etinu1542163209co@dy1542163209esdni1542163209l1542163209 .
