A Message from Principal Tapia

Hello SAM Family,

God is good! The SAM Community is truly doing HIS work and it shows in all we do. I want to thank all of the families who attended the Family Mass last Saturday! I had tears of joy running down my face as I watched our beautiful children and their families PACK the church. The song we sang at Communion really said the words my heart was feeling,

“We are gathered at table as one in the Lord. We are gathered as people who are living the Word. Our hearts and our spirits are nurtured by grace. It is Jesus who fills us. He is here in this place.”

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. My hope is that you join on Saturday, October 27th at 5 pm as we celebrate Mass with Father Dave. Following the Mass, we will have a Family Fun Night on the field with a kid friendly Halloween movie and dinner. We are looking forward to our community coming together for worship and fellowship.

As your new principal, I want to remind you that I am always here to listen to your praises, comments, and concerns. I have an open door policy and I constantly check my email. Moving forward, the SPA Board and Class Representatives role will be to focus on fundraising and coming up with great ways to raise money for the school. I encourage our community to share your great ideas for fundraising with your Class Reps, SPA Board Members and Administration. Our Class Reps will continue to forward anonymous emails to my attention. Instead of waiting for the upcoming SPA Board meeting, I will address those concerns ASAP.

The Blessing of the Animals was absolutely precious today! Everyday at SAM amazes me a little bit more! I’m sure all of our furry and friends were sad they weren’t able to stay longer.

As we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please keep all those who have fought cancer in your prayers. We have three very special teachers on our staff who are my heroes and inspiration. We are asking students to donate $1 and wear pink shirts, accessories and nail polish on Fridays to support those bravely fighting Breast Cancer.

I leave you now with our Bible verse of the month, which reminds us to always “Walk HIS WAY.”

Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and to walk in His ways.                                                                                                                                        Deuteronomy 8:6

Auction Dinner Letter & Item Form

Our 11th Annual Auction Dinner Dance, Festival of Lights, will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. As we continue to enhance the academic and spiritual lives of our students, we are continually striving to expand the programs we offer to our TK through 8th grade students. St. Angela Merici Parish School’s ultimate goal is to prepare our students for their role as respectful, responsible and productive members of our community.

In order to meet our mission, we rely on the generosity of individuals and business for support. Donations to our live and silent auctions have included sporting event tickets, vacation rentals, restaurant gift certificates, theater tickets, spa certificates, jewelry and much more.

If you have questions or would like a member of the auction committee to pick up your donation, please contact Maria Galarze, 714-768-9102 or email her at maria.galarze@landstarmailcom. For more information, please visit the DOCUMENTS tab of Sycamore, located under the School drop down menu. The Auction Dinner Letter and Auction Item Form can be found in the School Forms folder.
