Tomorrow, October 20th, students can wear pink accessories if they bring in a $1 or more donation! Students can wear anything from hair bows to bracelets, socks to nail polish; anything that is appropriate and pink. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Research Collaboration.
We will also be putting together Care Bags for cancer patients filled with goodies. We ask that all students bring in an item specific to their grade level by October 20th. Here’s what we are asking classes to bring in:
1st grade: Hand sanitizer
2nd grade: Hard candies (peppermint is the perfect choice)
3rd/4th grade: Sample of unscented hand cream (Eucerin, Aveeno, etc)
5th grade: Lemon drops
6th grade: Gum
7th grade: Green tea bags
8th grade: Small water bottles
Last Friday we raised $344.06 for the Cancer Research Collaboration! Thank you to all who donated money to wear pink, and don’t forget to bring a $1 tomorrow wear pink again!
October 24th through the 27th is Red Ribbon Week, a week dedicated to drug prevention. Each day has a different, fun theme and dress-up opportunity. Read through the following to see what next week has in store:
Tuesday, October 24th: Team Up Against Drugs // wear any jersey or team shirt with uniform bottoms. There will be a spirit rally at 1:15 PM.
Wednesday, October 25th: Stomp Out Drugs // wear crazy socks with uniform. There will be an All School Walk-A-Thon from 1:50-2:30 PM to show we “Walk Out on Drugs”.
Thursday, October 26th: Be a Buddy! // Coordinate with someone to wear the same clothes. There will be a Smart Active Academy Assembly, a worldwide educational program that promotes a healthy lifestyle to kids.
Friday, October 27th: Unite Against Drugs // Wear red, white and blue to unite as a country to stop drugs. There will be a 9:30 AM Teaching Mass.
Tickets for the Washington DC Raffle are now available to be picked up! Stop by the Front Office to pick up your family’s two tickets.

Merry Little Christmas: TK-2nd grade on Thursday, December 14th at 6:00 PM. Students present a collection of holiday favorite songs to celebrate the reason for the season.
Peace Has Come: 6-8th grade on Tuesday, December 19th at 6:00 PM. Middle school presents a spiritual musical theater performance with acting, singing and dancing.
Born is the King: 3rd-5th on Thursday, December 21st at 10:30 AM. Students present a re-enactment of the Nativity with story and song at our Birth of Jesus Prayer Service.

Bring your Box Tops for Education to your classroom now through Friday, October 27th. The top three classes collecting the most Box Tops will win one of the following prizes:
Free Dress and Popcorn Party
Extra Recess Time
Each student who brings in at least 50 unexpired Box Tops will receive a small prize
For every 10 Box Tops, the student will receive a Tootsie Pop
Please give your Box Tops to your teacher. You can just place them i na baggie with your child’s name.
