On two Friday’s this month, October 13th and 20th, students can wear pink accessories if they bring in a $1 or more donation! Students can wear anything from hair bows to bracelets, socks to nail polish; anything that is appropriate and pink. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Research Collaboration.
We will also be putting together Care Bags for cancer patients filled with goodies. We ask that all students bring in an item specific to their grade level by October 20th. Here’s what we are asking classes to bring in:
1st grade: Hand sanitizer
2nd grade: Hard candies (peppermint is the perfect choice)
3rd/4th grade: Sample of unscented hand cream (Eucerin, Aveeno, etc)
5th grade: Lemon drops
6th grade: Gum
7th grade: Green tea bags
8th grade: Small water bottles
This Saturday, October14th, Brea real estate agent Alex Horowitz will be hosting a pumpkin patch on our school campus! You can expect pumpkin decorating, food trucks, bounce houses and more!

Mrs. Schlueter and Mrs. Baroff are holding Tutoring on Tuesday’s after school until 3:30 PM.
4th and 5th graders will be in Mrs. Schlueter’s classrooms and 6th through 8th graders will be with Mrs. Baroff in her classroom.
Please note that if your child is not picked up at 3:30 PM, they will be sent to Extended Care.
This Sunday, October 15th, from 4:30-7:00 PM, Boy Scout Troop 811 will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner in the Hall.
It is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for children or $20.00 for a family of four. Thank you for supporting our Boy Scouts!

Please keep in mind that for your RSVP to be complete, you must turn in your card filled out and with the payment to the Front Office.
The Pig Race will take place during the Spirit Rally in two weeks, on October 24th.
Tickets for the pigster pals that were placed in the order envelopes will all be passed out on the same day, October 24th, so our students may wear them during the rally later that day!
Bring your Box Tops for Education to your classroom now through Friday, October 27th. The top three classes collecting the most Box Tops will win one of the following prizes:
Free Dress and Popcorn Party
Extra Recess Time
Each student who brings in at least 50 unexpired Box Tops will receive a small prize
For every 10 Box Tops, the student will receive a Tootsie Pop
Please give your Box Tops to your teacher. You can just place them i na baggie with your child’s name.

Last weekend our Golf Team participated in a tournament and placed first out of 27 schools and 152 players. Our team scored 127 points together, the four scores that make it up are as follows:
Tessa – 29
Hunter – 30
Nicholas – 32
Kaila – 36
Individual Division Winners:
Tessa won 1st Place for the Girls A Division with a score of 29.
Hunter won 2nd Place for the Boys A Division with a score of 30.
Noah won 3rd Place for the Boys C Division with a score of 37.
