Back in September, Michael Martinson was named one of O.C. Varsity’s “Players to Watch”, and additionally was ranked as 131 of their “Hot 150”. This Class of 2013 alumni was expected to great things during his final year of high school football, and he truly did.
During his senior season of football, Michael rushed for 349 yards, 47 tackles on defense, and had four touchdowns on 85 carries. He was awarded as Brea Olinda High School’s Defensive Back of the Year. Now, Michael has committed to play Division 3 football at the University of Chicago! This highly competitive, private research university has only an 8% acceptance rate for incoming freshman, and holds top-ten positions in various rankings not only in the United States, but around the world as well.
