Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” so that we confidently say, “THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?” — Hebrews 13:5-6
Morning Drop Off: We need ALL parents to be very safe and slow down when you are in the drop off line. Please pull all the way to the front of the line before dropping your student off. Also, NO car should be parked on the street by the front office to drop off your student. SAFETY comes FIRST!!

Wednesday, October 31st- Halloween Parade
NO LATE START!!!!
November 1st- 9:15 start
9:30 Eucharist (All Saints Day)- Formal Attire. After the Eucharist, boys in grades 5-8 may change from their long sleeve shirt and tie to a WHITE uniform shirt.
Halloween Costumes and Dress Policy:
Students may come to school dressed in a Halloween Costume. Our school will be having our annual costume parade around the whole school led by our President and Vice President.
Students who wish to wear a costume must follow the school policies:
No full masks (due to safety reasons and making sure our little students are not afraid)
No weapons, appropriate female attire and every costume must have shoes.
All students will change into casual free dress after the parade and pictures.
If a student does not wish to wear a costume to school, they may either wear their school uniform or a Halloween shirt.
The parade starts around 8:15 in the morning and students will be outside for pictures and trick or treating. The rest of the school day, the students will be playing in activities created by our own student council.
Private School Students Surpass SAT Benchmarks
Performance against the SAT benchmark varied by type of school. For college-bound seniors in public schools across the nation, the combined average SAT score was 1477, 73 points shy of the benchmark, while the average for religious school students was 1594 (44 points above the benchmark) and that for independent school students was 1667, exceeding the benchmark by 117 points. Similarly, in each of the subjects tested, SAT scores for college-bound seniors in religious and independent schools were significantly higher than the national average. Mean SAT scores for students in public schools were 481 in writing, 491 in reading, and 505 in math, while comparable scores for students in religious schools were 529, 531, and
534. Students in independent schools scored 548, 539, and 580.
St. Angela Merici Childcare Co-op
Responding to the needs of families with young children, St. Angela Merici Church is bringing back our Childcare Co-op!
The Childcare Co-op is devoted to young children and their families. We will be open in Noah’s Nursery (PRE-Kinder classroom) during the Sunday 9:30 a.m. Eucharist and cater to children aged 1 to 3 years. The Co-op is staffed by the parents of the children and teen volunteers. Adult volunteers comply with the Diocesan guidelines for volunteering with children. As a member you will be asked to work approximately one time every three months. The Co-op is a great alternative to Eucharist for little ones who just can’t sit still during Eucharist but are too young for Faith Formation’s “Toddler Time with Jesus” or “Liturgy of the Word with Children”.
For information and registration forms go to the Parish website and click on “Childcare Co-op”. We are accepting registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have additional questions call Sue de Grasse in the Parish Center Office (714) 529-1821 ext.126. See what the excitement is all about in Noah’s Nursery because Together We Make A Difference.
Do not let _____(your child's name)_____throw away his/her confidence (in You); may it be richly regarded. Help ___(your child's name)_____persevere so that when he/she has done the will of God, he/she will receive what You have promised. From Hebrews 10:35-36
Mom's in Touch meets every Wednesday after drop off in OLG room of the Parish Center. All Mom's of SAM students are welcome to join!
