Daisy Newsletter – October 16th

Newsletter
At our first meeting, Daisies earned their Rose Pedal, “Make the World a Better Place”.
They learned that by taking care of animals, whether they are our own pets or wild, they are all God’s creatures.
They recognized the importance of feeding them and giving them water. The Daisies had fun learning that animals need a clean environment.  Keeping the church and school litter free helped reinforce this learning experience.
Daisies to Visit Omar’s Exotic Birds Wed., Oct. 19
We might have to cancel our field trip to Omars Exotic Bird Store this Wednesday October 19th (3-4pm). According to the Girl Scout Safety Ratios (2 chaperones to 6 Scouts on field trips), we don't have enough Chaperones registered and signed up. To be a registered chaperone, you must be a registered member AND pass the background check. If you have already, mailed in your background check, please let me know. So far we have Melissa, Karyn, Jen DyReyes, Greg Sebourn and myself as a registered chaperone. However, attending the Omar's field trip are Karyn, Jen and myself. The only way we can attend this field trip is if we have more parent volunteers. Parent volunteers attending Omars are: Cyndi, Courtney, and Corina. If we had just one more chaperone for this field trip, we would have enough combined supervision. Please consider becoming a registered chaperone for our future events. If you can attend the field trip to Omar's (or you have an adult representative for your child), please let me know. Confirmed Daisies: Julia, Hannah, Janae, Isabelle, Michaela, Isabela, Justine, Mia, Elisabeth, Tyler, Kailey, Ava, Nicole, and Danielle.
